One of my favorite things to do in early summer is visit Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark, California. There is so much to share about this farm but I am going to focus on the Strawberry Picking they offer in June-August. I prefer going in June as our temperatures in August here can get very hot. We like to bring our own baskets for the kids to use as its easier when they’re little if the baskets have a handle. Otherwise you can use their plastic berry boxes. I just brought thrifted baskets that I use at Easter and they worked perfectly. I would also bring water, sanitizer wipes, snacks, and comfortable clothes and shoes you can get dirty in. There is the option of a tractor ride out to the fields which you will definitely want to do as its a bit of a walk for the little ones once you are in the berry fields.
A walk through the sweet pea flowers felt just as whimsical as it looks.
